With today’s hectic lifestyles and our lack of time for even the most practical tasks, easy and quick cleaning tips are a saving grace not to be missed. Along the lines of sanitization, the nifty and flushable disinfectant wipe is next on my list of cleaning tips. Be sure upon purchase that you have, in fact, chosen an antibacterial product, as some of them available do not offer this invaluable quality. Most are septic system safe, and these little powerhouse clothes can save you literally hours of toil over toilets and kitchen countertops. I suggest getting one container for each room which needs daily freshening, and it wouldn’t hurt to have the kids over seven jump in on the action. Every little bit of help should be welcomed, and they can hardly make things worse when using these simple little life savers.
If you are a house plant person, here are a few cleaning tips to keep them happy and dust free. First, you will want to keep a misting bottle handy. This can be filled with just water, as most fertilizers and plant foods can be corrosive when applied directly to the delicate vegetation. Misting your plants once a week not only keeps the dust down on the leaves, but it makes them happy. Have you never seen a happy plant? Try it! This simulates the natural effect of rain on the plants, and the leaves will respond very well to this treatment. Once every few months, you may want to bypass their normal watering for a good, gentle rinse in the bathtub with your shower head. This will take care of a watering and of the dust that gathers on your plants. Let them sit for while until the excess water has dripped off, and your plants will be ready to go back in place. Take this time to use your handheld vacuum cleaner around the floors and walls where the plants live.
